"Pretend to be a good speaker" from the 186 Regular Meeting on January 20, 2024

 In the "Here's My Trick" speech, Eri shared one of her tricks to become a good speaker.

That is to pretend to be a good speaker. 

She told us that she "imagines herself as someone who is chill, confident, charismatic, and captivating, someone like Meryl Streep." Eri told us that she listened to Meryl Streep's commencement speech in 2010 over and over again studying her style and manner, trying to emulate her speaking skill. When she makes speeches, she imagines herself as Maril Streep and pretends that she has her skills, confidence, and charisma.

Eri told us that it works. She also added that pretending to be a good speaker is the first step for us to be one ourselves.
